Jacob (Parksville)

I was really excited to hear about this contest. My name is Jacob and I am 12 Years old. and I am in grade 7. Sometimes I find it hard to leam because lots of stuff is going through my mind things like what to do and when to hand in work. I often get behind, so I need someone to help me. This causes a lot of pressure for me and I get lots of headaches and feel frustrated. However, I still have dreams for the future and I want to help people.

I really want to become a movie star and a producer of movies about healthy living. My first production will be about how kids can stop polluting and teach others not to pollute. I would show people picking up garbage and telling people at school and at home to put garbage in the right place. In our classroom we tell people to clean up after themselves. We also organize the Recycling Program for the whole school, about four hundred students. We separate bottles and paper for the recycling truck. It's a really big job, but it's fun to do and we all feel good about it. It would be a great thing to film. I would tell kids to ride their bikes or walk instead of getting rides from their parents because cars pollute and put carbon monoxide and other harmful things into the air. I could film places that are really polluted, like L.A. and Mexico City to show how bad it could get if we're not careful. If your kids breathe too much carbon monoxide, they could die of lung diseases and other things. I will make these movies so we all know how not to pollute the air. Our kids are the future.

My second production will make people help others with heart disease. For example, smoking, drugs, overeating, air pollution and lack of exercise. I would interview paramedics, doctors and nurses. Survivors of heart disease could give us lots of information on how to prevent it and show us how they live now. I would like to build a enormous hospital with the money I make. It would have accommodations for kids, their families, and seniors who have heart disease. They could stay close to each other and support each other when they are sick. My dream would be to see the end of heart disease. If my movies could help, I would be really grateful.
