Gyro Park

I live in the city of Trail. We have schools, houses, restaurants, movie stores, grocery stores, an airport, a movie theater, a library, bakeries, an arena and playgrounds.

One of my favourite places is Gyro Park.

In the summer, I can play at the water park. There is a beach with lots of sand and rocks to walk on. There is a river called the Columbia River. You can swim there but it is cold until you get used to it.

There is a little store where you can buy food and drinks. You can bring sandwiches, ice cream, cookies, and even chocolate Easter bunnies.

There is lots of grass and picnic tables.

Gyro Park has a playground with swings and slides. There is a nice sidewalk to take a walk along the river. There are a lot of squirrels at Gyro Park You can feed the squirrels some nuts. There are fish in the river. You can catch minnows with a net and a bucket.

Ducks and geese swim in the river.

Once I saw baby geese and baby ducklings. I saw a mother goose sitting on her eggs in a nest. Visit Gyro Park if you come to Trail.
